Pedal-Electric 'Export' Duo-Art Versions
By Bernt Damm

Hi all, Here are some additions to this topic. The export model
I mentioned must have been reasonably common because it is mentioned
in some of the service information. There is also a supplement to the
1927 service manual for this. It was available as single sheet copy
from Vestal press not too long ago. While on this subject, I would
also like to mention the half Duo-Art piano as another variation.
I have recently worked on one.

This piano is labeled 'Duo-Art pianola piano' like all the proper
ones but it has foot pedals only. It also has a Duo-Art On/Off switch.
The expression box is only half of what it should be. This means that
there is only an Accompaniment regulator and accordion pneumatics.
No Theme regulator. The Theme is controlled once again by the foot
pressure. I am convinced that this must have been the cheapest piano
they could sell and still maintain that it is a 'Duo-Art'.

Kind regards,

Bernt Damm
