Richard Vance rightly points out that, during the 19th century,
The Salvation Army adopted any popular tune [melody] that might
suit it's means.  This practice was curbed with the introduction
of copyright laws.

However, The Salvation Army's song, "Climbing Up The Golden Stair",
by Frederick Booth-Tucker, is quite different to the song, "Climbing
Up De Golden Stairs", by F, Heiser.  If, as Richard suggests, Gem
cob 115 plays the Heiser tune, then I'm back to square one as far as
finding any Salvation Army music produced in a mechanical format.
