In response to Wolfgang Brommer's post about Variations Music Boxes,
I would advise that I completed my exhaustive research on this topic
and located a total of 30 examples.  All are by Nicole Freres.  In the
United States there are approximately 10 examples, including 4 in the
Mark and Christel Yaffe Collection.

The research covered the Music Box Registry, all museum collections and
established private collections.  The article covering this topic, with
a list of all known examples, will be published in the Winter 2002-2003
MBSI Journal.

I will be at the MBSI meeting in Chicago should Mr. Brommer wish to
talk to me about this topic.
