Photonics Spectra, a trade magazine for the imaging industry, featured
an article about roll scanning in its August issue.  The article
focuses on the work of Rob Schoenberger, a expert in machine vision
systems at Agris-Schoen Vision Systems, Inc., Alexandria, VA, and

It's nice to note that since this article came out, a professor in
Venezuela contacted Rob to discuss his work preserving the work of
the musician Teresa Carreno.  I've invited the professor to explore
the AMICA and IAMMP web sites and to contact me if I can be of help --
supporting preservation work should be a high priority for all of us
who are interested in mechanical music.  I hope we'll be hearing more
about this in the future.
