I would like to say here that I am personally disgusted by the recent
string of notes on removing player actions.

Not being on the business side of things I can understand that there
are financial issues for those who are; however, when you destroy a
reproducing piano by removing its action it's gone forever, and few if
any will ever be returned to what they were.

There is a responsibility to anyone who has an antique work of
art to maintain it for future generations.  I know that restoring a
reproducing piano is hard work.  I'm in the middle of it right now.
I got my first note to play last night after more than 250 hours of
work.  Still it's simply irresponsible to destroy one just because it's
playing weakly.

This is an appeal to those who have a conscience that are considering
this.  Think of the music that can come from a well regulated
reproducer and think twice about trashing that potential
