Rare Organettes & Organ in USA Antique Stores
By Christian Greinacher

Hallo all, I just came back home from a six-week trip in US. On the
way I visited some antique shops and I saw some really interesting
mechanical music instruments. Unfortunately, I could not take them
with me because of their size and weight, but maybe somebody else is
interested in looking for these instruments. Here they are:

1. A German made 'Herophone' organette (Bowers, page 747) with three
disks, offered for US$ 1865.-

2. A German made 'Migno' organette, Nr. 1 or 2 in piano form (Bowers,
page 766) with at least one music roll, offered for US$ 1865.-

3. A Dutch monkey organ, 'De Zwerver', standing on a small cart,
offered for US$ 3875.-

4. A coin operated piano orchestrion, 'Link, Binghamton N.Y.', with
excellent stained windows, five instruments: piano, mandoline, organ
pipes, snare drum and tambourine, in playing condition, offered for
US$ 14,500.-

5. A 'Seeburg', with stained glass, in playing condition, offered
for US$ 8,000.-

I do not know whether the offered prices are high or low compared
to the average US market, and I do not have any personal interest in
selling these machines, but it would be a pity if somebody would be
looking for exactly these types of instruments and could not find them.

If somebody is interested, please email me. I can send you digital
pictures which I took and can give you the addresses were the shops
are located.

Regards from Germany
