Repairing 8-Track Tape Cartridge
By Gordon Forcier

Hi Terry, As to repairing an 8-track tape, you will have to do what l
always do. Open the cartridge and start pulling out the tape, being
exceptionally careful as you get toward the center of the feed. Once
this is done, re-thread the tape, but leave a tail of the tape out of
the center, so it can be spliced.

Once this is accomplished, the tape will be like new, and you won't
lose any of the music. l have done this so many times in the past,
it's like child's play. Have fun.

PS: You will need to use a pencil with an eraser on the end to wind
the tape back on the platter, and a little patience.
