With respect to the Marantz Pianocorders, yesterday I was in a store
on Long Island (Nassau County, NY), which specializes in the sale of
restored jukeboxes and  amusement machines.  The owner also had an
upright Marantz Pianocorder which he stated needed adjustments and
work.  He did play it and, after we adjusted the tracking mechanism
on the cassette unit, it was able to play, but barely acceptably.

While I have been restoring pneumatic instruments (primarily Duo-Arts)
as a hobby since 1966, I do not know how to repair or adjust these
Pianocorder devices.  The owner asked me if I knew of anybody in the
Long Island, NY, area who is able to work on these devices.  If anybody
has a name and or address and phone number, I will forward it to the
owner.
