Seek Player Tech for Cable Valve Repairs
By Marc Sachnoff

Hello Fellow MMD'ers, I moved recently and discovered that when the
movers turned my Cable upright player on its side, a number of the
fiber valve discs unseated. Seems they were OK when the piano was
horizontal, but now I have lots of notes that are not playing.

With this condition in hand, it seems like its time to have the valves
re-done. The stack was originally restored for me by the late Frank
Trotta in the mid-1980s and the tubing and pneumatics are all fine.
The air motor is developing small tears and while it still works fine,
should be recovered. As I do not have the time or inclination to
attack this job myself, I'm looking for a piano tech. (preferably in
the lower half of California) to bid the job. I will deliver the stack
and pick it up if necessary.

Please contact me at the email address above.

Best regards from sunny Los Angeles,
Marc Sachnoff
