Cable Euphona Recordo Repeat & Replay
By Richard Martin

Hi folks. I'm working on my 1916 Cable Euphona, with a Recordo system,
pedal and electric motor operated.

In the book, "Player Piano Servicing and Rebuilding", by Art Reblitz,
on page 188 there is a table that indicates what the tracker holes
operate. It shows that the #4 hole is for "play". Also, from helpful
folks at MMD that hole has also been described as "repeat". I am
puzzled as to what that function actually is. From some reading it
appears it might be that the control lever is returned to a play
position after the roll has finished rewinding, but that is all.

Is this accurate? Is this event triggered simply by the roll leader
clearing the tracker bar at the end of rewind, and exposing the #4
hole? Or do I have it all wrong and it is a different operation?

Thanks for any help. Knowing what is supposed to happen could help
me diagnose and rectify problems. The unit works well, but a few
functions don't seem to operate and without a flow chart or "shop
manual" it's tricky for a hobbyist like me to sort it out.

Thanks again,

Richard Martin
