I am in the process of building a 9-note monkey organ with about
3 pounds of air.  It will be hand cranked and I can't find any
kind of a mechanical valve I can use.  If I can make this work,
and I already have finished making all the parts except for the
valves, I will then make Dave Kerr's 43-note calliope.
