Musical Cigarette Dispenser
By Matthew Caulfield

The musical cigarette dispenser that C. Wilkins describes in 030201
MMD is a type of music box known as a "mosque." Here are some URL's
showing three mosque designs:

  www.musicboxshop.com/90243b.html
  www.silvergiftstore.com/hanmusmosbyr1.html
  http://www.austriana.com/musicboxes/reuge-mosques_dolls.html

Reuge used to make them and perhaps still does. Mosques can hold
after-dinner liqueurs, cigars, cigarettes, perfumes, etc. They
occasionally turn up on eBay, but there the term "mosque" is seldom
used -- which is a shame, because it would be such a convenient search
term. Instead you have to use other possible term combinations that
will bring up exactly the kind of music(al) box you are interested in.

I realize this isn't much help, but since nobody else posted a response
to the question, I thought I would send this.
