Around 1987-88 I had a unit installed in my Yamaha 7' grand piano that
was a prototype for the Pianomation units that were marketed around
1990.  The unit I have worked flawlessly until a few days ago.  I had
a Pianomation person check it over, and we discovered that it is
totally different from what Pianomation actually marketed later.

The unit I have is a retrofit of the old Marantz system, except each
note is separately regulated as far as volume, the sustain pedal and
soft pedal work, and the whole unit (which processor and power supply
are in a box about 4" by 11"!!).  From the description the technician
gave me of the new systems, I wonder why they decided to go to a
different current supply system, with bulkier parts?

Anyway, if there is anyone out there who would know how to repair or
replace this unit (perhaps someone has a spare processor and/or power
supply board sitting somewhere in a closet or basement?), I would be
very grateful.  I have demonstrated this system to hundreds of people
over the last almost 15 years, and have many pipe organ/piano duets on
disk.  (This unit plays from MIDI !)

I don't have thousands of dollars to replace this system, and want to
explore all the possibilities of getting it running again before I give
up.  I sure miss the great sounds and hope someone can help.  Thanks,
