Dear group:  I have erred in my suppositions about regulation of Ampico
A crescendo units.  I have since then been "put in my place" and had
the knuckle rapping of those I've learned so much from over the years.
Mea culpa.

I shall soon have a Chickering and a Franklin (circa '25 Ampico A) up
for service and will report back after I have experimented a bit with
the offending units.  I _do_ wish to clarify (maybe retract) some of
the previous writing but I'm Duo-Art rich right now and have no Ampico
to "dissect".  (Please send no hate mail!)

Thanks to Robbie and all who make MMD both a learning place and
a respectful forum that was previously unknown.
