Knoebels Amusement Resort, Elysburg, PA
By William Griswold Jr.

I live about 3.5 hours from Knoebel's Grove. I recall very well my
visit to the park two years ago. The Grand Carousel is amazing, having
three band organs, and a working ring machine. Even the smaller full
size carousel is very nice.

I can remember having dinner with the DeKleist Wurlitzer organ, and
watching the steam tractor and blacksmith. With two full size
carousels, two world class wooden coasters, steam train and tractor,
somewhere around 10 working band organs, as well as other mechanical
musical instruments, I do have to agree that Knoebel's is several days
well spent. As for Six Flags, and Cedar Fair, they seriously need to
take a lesson from Knoebels, and learn the importance of nostalgia in
a theme park -- especially when it comes to carousels and band organs.
