Schafer Bros. Piano Movers & Lost Piano Bench
By D. L. Bullock

I'll bet if you get a quote of $2,000.00 for building a replacement,
your movers will find it really quickly. I would not be surprised if
the quote wasn't over $1,500 for custom carving a one-of-a-kind piano
bench. They charge $300 for the simplest piano bench. I have had
quotes of ridiculous heights for custom benches.

They may have damaged the bench seriously and were too embarrassed
to tell you. I assure you, repair of a badly damaged bench is lots
cheaper than making a copy.

If Schafer Bros. is still located in St. Louis, I will be happy to go
over and look for your bench. I plan to give them hell for you, as
well, while there. I love Weber Duo-Arts. I purchased my Weber
Duo-Art and restored it as my first Duo-Art restoration over thirty
years ago.
