Repairing Repulsion-Induction Blower Motor
By Howard Towlson

I have a 5 HP repulsion-start, induction-run Century motor driving
an Orgoblo pipe organ blower. The centrifugal assembly which pulls the
bushes off the commutator and applies a shorting ring seems erratic and
probably needs cleaning.

Does anyone have any experience in maintenance of this type of motor,
and where would one get replacement brushes? Also looking for a
quantity of 58-note Aeolian Grand rolls.

[ If the centrifugal switch assembly is worn out, then all else surely
