Ampico A Rewind & Power Off Tubing Connections
By Ian Griggs

I have a 1925 Marshall & Wendell Upright Ampico A. I have tubed 8T to
the electric power-off unit, so the roll will stop instead of reroll.
The problem is that when it is put into reroll manually, and the motor
turned back on, lifting or wandering of the roll exposing 8T again
keeps turning the power off.

Should I run 8T through one of the cut-out units (which I have not
used)? If so which one, and where should I tube the spoon valve so the
unit switches off after reroll?

Note that my switch unit is totally different from the 1923 book or the
235C tubing diagram. It has two primary pouches (one of which I have
tubed to 8T), the other one goes I know not where. (The piano was in
a million pieces when I got it). Any suggestions? Page 161 of Reblitz
doesn't apply strictly either.
