Heating Hide Glue

I have noticed recently the flurry of activity regarding hide
glue.  I agree that a glue pot with a thermostatic control is best.
No one has mentioned that glue can be "cooked" -- overheated or heated
too long.  Therefore you should only make what you need and always
start with a new batch for best results.
