Replacing Casters of Upright Piano
By Ed Chaban

I need to replace the casters on my Stroud upright. The wood
underneath the case is a little chewed up and soft so putting the
caster plates in the existing holes could prove to be difficult.

I'm considering taking a router to the underside and gluing some oak
or maple blocks into the case with either epoxy or polyurethane glue
(Probond). This would give me a more solid and more durable base to
attach the casters.

Any other suggestions on how to attack the problem?
