Todd Augsburger raised the subject of preserving historical documents
for posterity and future research.  The Fair Organ Preservation Society
has held an archive of organ-related material including recordings, for
many years. More recently we realized that these should be archived
professionally to prevent deterioration, and for security reasons.

To this end, we have placed the entire collection into the hands of the
National Fairground Archive, housed at the main library in Sheffield
University.  The FOPS archive includes many items from overseas as well
as those of the Society itself, and we always welcome additional
material.
