Building Musical Reed Organ Clock
By Flavio Pedrazzini

Hi, I have two questions:

1) I have an automatic piano, maybe Aeolian. It uses standard rolls,
works with pedals (not motor) and inside at the top right there is a
number 7256. Could somebody tell me something about it?

2) I am making a big clock which will play 7 songs, one for each day of
the week. I would like to use reeds of monkey organs (I buy them in an
Italian factory) and to use 24 VDC relays as valves. A motor will move
the bellows.

Could somebody send me a drawing, ideas and advice about building bellows
and valves?

Thank you
Best regards from sunny North Italy

[ Flavio is also rebuilding a rare Italian barrel piano in which many
[ pieces are missing. Paul Manganaro provided him pictures of his
 [ nicely restored similar instrument.
 [
[ I presume the reeds will be like accordion reeds. What size of
[ electric relay (diameter? weight?) would be adequate to pull the
[ pallet valves? Would a direct-action pipe organ valve be suitable?
