I don't see what the problem is about possible piano scams.  I do
nothing such as arrange transport or post a parcel until payment has
cleared into my account.

If payment is not in UK pounds drawn on a UK bank in the form of a
'foreign' bank draft from another country outside of UK then it will
take 3 to 4 weeks to clear into my account. I always tell people this
if they pay that way & never have problems.

Cash clears instantly of course!
