Post-WW2 Reproducing Piano Rolls
By Bob Conant

Dear Folks, There has been a thread recently about Ampico rolls made
since WW2 and specifically the 30000 and 40000 series rolls by Bill
Flynt and others. A suggestion was made that the list in the MMD
archives might include other recently produced rolls as well. Knowing
that I have a few of these, I went to the list and checked it out.
Then I looked at what I have and I found three rolls not on the list.
Whether they belong or not I will let someone else decide but all are
definitely Ampico coded rolls and all are of post WW2 production.

Herewith is the info on these additional rolls for anyone interested:

 Roll Nr. - 40011 B
 Date - 1972
 Dur. - 2:57
Pianist/Editor - "arranged by Bill Flynt"
Title - Fiddler On The Roof
   1. Sunrise, Sunset; 2. Fiddler On The Roof; 3. Matchmaker
 Composer - Bock-Harnick
 Publisher - Harold L. Powell

 Roll Nr. - 72001
 Date - 1971
 Dur. - 2:47
 Pianist/Editor - David L. Junchen
Title - Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head
 Composer - Bacharach and David

This last roll was produced for the 13th anniversary of The Vestal
Press and I think QRS also produced it in an 88-note version as well:

 Roll Nr. - CU-172
 Date - 1974, released 6/75
 Dur. - 2:58
 Pianist/Editor - Bill Flynt
Title - The Vestal Press Rag
 Composer - Jonathan Jensen
 Publ. - QRS

Cheers,
