Hi All,  Also check "abc" in it's various versions.  As a starting
place see  http://www.gre.ac.uk/~c.walshaw/abc/  with descriptions
of the various freeware/shareware/commercial programs.  The added
advantage is that music can be entered in ASCII text, stored in
a text file and transmitted as a text file.
