Converting T-98 Welte to Play T-100 "Red" Rolls
By Grahame Code

There seems to be a misunderstanding on the request I made on behalf of
a friend to enable a "Green" Welte piano to be able to play "Red" Welte
rolls. At no time was there the suggestion to make it only play "Red".

His thought was to have a separate spool box, not part of the piano,
and the attached hardware in this box to enable him to play both "Red"
and "Green" Welte rolls on the one piano, without damaging the original
instrument. I hope this makes the position clearer.

[ "Green" Welte player and wishes to change the instrument so that
[ it will play both Green- and Red Welte rolls.' I regret the
[ misunderstanding; it's too bad we didn't know the owner's thoughts
 [ of a separate spoolbox. -- Robbie
