Lubricating Musical Box Discs

I own a beautiful 17-1/4-inch Stella Music Box. It has been cleaned
and serviced. It has one of the nicest sounds for a music box of its
size. I would rate the Stella right up there with Regina.

I have been told that Stellas are prone sometimes to teeth breaking
off. This can be avoided by taking proper care of the disc. Also,
it is not a good ideal to play badly warped and rusted discs.

The gentleman that serviced my Stella says by rubbing a little bit of
WD-40 under the disc will help keep it lubricated. He said don't use
oil because it can gum up the gears inside the disc player. My music
box was really gummed up before I took it in to be serviced.

I just wanted to past on my experience to other people.
