Band Organ & Calliope Recorded in 1960s
By Bob

-- forwarded message, please reply to sender and MMD --

I used to run a merry-go-round about 40 years ago. We used reel-to-reel
tape for our music. One tape was of the band organ from the old 78 rpm
records of Allan Herschell's merry-go-round company in New York. That
tape I still have.

The other tape was of a large calliope that was in New York (I think)
that could be heard 10 miles away, they say. It had drum and cymbals
on it. By any chance do you know of the calliope I am talking about?
If so, do you know where I can get some info on it, pictures, and maybe
some audio of it?

Thank you very much for your time.

Bob
