"On Being the Author of Minority-Interest Books"
By Mark Williamson

G'day from Australia, where we are currently experiencing mid-Summer!
A friend recently lent me a couple of old catalogues and I thought that
an article in one of them is relevant to the current "Buy the Book"
thread on MMD.

On pages 78-80 of "The Mekanisk Music Museum Review" (No. 4, 1974),
there is an article by Arthur W.J.G. Ord-Hume entitled "A Dissertation
on being the Author of Minority-Interest Books."

Although this article is far too long to be included in the Digest,
perhaps it could be put on the web site, as I feel it raises some
points relevant to the current discussion. Of course one would need
permission from Mr. Ord-Hume and/or the editors, Messrs. Friberg and
Bowers.

Just my 2 cents worth ;)

Mark Williamson

P.S.: Keep up the good work with the MMD.

[ That's a fine suggestion, Mark! Could volunteers please ask Messrs.
[ Ord-Hume and Bowers (who will speak for the Claes Friberg estate)
[ if they would kindly extend permission to re-publish the article
 [ in MMDigest? -- Robbie
