Re: Sharing information/selling books

I have had four books published on reed organs, beginning in 1973.
Two are currently in print and available from Amazon, Barnes & Noble
and probably others as well as directly from me.

I provide brief answers to email or snail mail inquiries, then add
a page of prepared notes which answer perhaps 90% of the questions
received.  I also mention that several books are available with greater
detail, including my own, and suggest that they may be available at
local libraries or through inter-library loans.  Finally I mention that
they are also for sale.

Some, maybe most people, reply thanking me for the information.  Some
accept the information without comment.  In the thirty-plus years only
one criticized my prepared notes as "canned information" and was
offended by the offer to sell the books.
