Wurlitzer Band Organ Rolls as MIDI Files
By Matthew Caulfield

Marc, When I read the subject line of your email I thought you wanted
MIDI files that were playable via a sound card and that would thereby
give you the performance of a particular band organ in MIDI format,
as opposed to MP-3 or .wav or other format.

Reading into the text, it becomes clear that you want a file which
contains the perforations of a roll (150 or 165 or whatever) scanned
into MIDI format. To get those kinds of files the names that come
to mind as a source are Mike Ames and the Stinson Band Organ Company
(via Don Stinson's agent Skip Doyle). This URL will lead you to the
extensive library of MIDI files offered by the Stinson Band Organ
Company: http://www.doyleintl.com/StinsonMusicLibraryHP.htm.

I believe that the Ames and the Stinson channel assignments are
different, but for a computer maven it should be a fairly simple
process to write a little program to convert a file in one system
format into another.
