Improving Playback of MP3 Compressed Audio
By Arthur Hine

Has anyone had success in re-recording MP3 band organ files using
an equalizer or DSP to improve fidelity and/or tonal balance?
Any details would be appreciated.

[ MP3 and other compressed audio data formats are approximations
[ of the original sound. The apparent fidelity on playback depends
[ on the spectrum of the original audio waveform and the compression
[ technique used to create the audio data file. I haven't found any
[ improvement method except to fiddle with the bass and treble tone
[ controls of my loudspeaker amplifier. -- Robbie
