Wilcox & White Combination Pushup Player Controls
By Cecil Grace

Kevin McElhone mentions that he has a Wilcox White organ combination
pushup with ten stops. I have one with eight stop knobs, and I thought
mine was top of the line, but evidently it isn't. The stop knobs on
mine are marked Diapason, Cello, Re-Roll, Metronome (this operates a
scale marked from Largo to Presto), Violina, Melodia, Piano (presumably
this disables the piano when it is desired to play only the organ) and
Grand Swell (this opens the swell on the back of the instrument).

I hope Mr. McElhone will let us know what two additional ones he has,
for my information and that of everyone interested in these instruments.
I'm sorry I can't answer his question.

Mine is not yet restored. (Yes, I know it's been a while since I
received rolls from him, but I have been very busy.) Mine is the model
with two fluted columns on the front. It is ebonized, but I have seen
similar ones in other finishes.

Musically,

Cecil Grace
