MIDI Control for Carousel Band Organ
By Phil Slusser

In 040221 MMDigest Patty Slayton quoted from the book "Painted
Ponies". If you look on pages 156 and 157 you will see four horses
from the 1910 Carmel carousel owned by Marianna Stevens, the author
of "Painted Ponies".

My friend Ken and I traveled to Roswell, New Mexico, last March to
pick up this carousel and bring back to the Three Rivers Carousel
Foundation in Tri-Cities, Washington. See

  http://www.threeriverscarousel.org/

Funding for the project is going well, and yes, we will have a ring
arm complete with the "Brass Ring". I am starting to talk band organ
to the group and I keep hearing about "MIDI". My question: Is this
an option or should I go for a regular band organ? Any help making
and finding the right choice would be helpful. Thanks.
