Since the topic was revived, please note that I recently photographed
two carousels, one in Paris (in the City Hall Plaza, which was serving
as an ice rink in February) and one in Barcelona.  From the horses,
it's clear that both revolve counterclockwise, the "American" way.

By the way, the French carousel, while small, was double-decker.  Now
there's a London concept for you!  :-)  I'd never seen nor heard of
such a thing before.  Should I upload the photo to the MMD site?
I guess I will.

Neither seemed to have a real organ, but were playing recorded band
organ music.
