Dear Don,  Several years ago someone gave my wife an 88-note roll
at an MBSI meeting.  It was our first mechanical music meeting ever.
We reluctantly accepted it with the objection that we didn't have
a piano to play it on.

The person asked if we knew anyone who did have a piano that would
play the roll.  At that point we knew one person.  When we came home
we gave the roll to our friend.  He turned around and gave us a Marque
Ampico and the roll back.

We have since grown to love many mechanical musical instruments.
We have visited small collections and large ones.  We have made many
friends across the country.  Now I am the President of the Lady Liberty
Chapter of AMICA.

Several months ago someone gave us 3 "A" rolls.  So far we still have
nothing to play them on, but who knows what will happen?
