Value of Wurlitzer Roll Changer Coin Piano
By Peter Doscher

At my mothers' house in eastern Long Island, New York, there is an old
Wurlitzer 5-roll changer piano with a coin slot. There are several
patents listed at the front of the roll mechanism, the latest of these
is l9l5. It almost certainly was a bar-room piano, sitting in a large
room that was used for that purpose up through the l920's or later.

The piano had a renovation about 25 years ago, including the bellows
and tubing for each individual note, needs some further work. It has
some rolls, and there are also some rolls for a different piano.

As my mother is elderly I have been thinking it might be wiser to sell
the piano. Would appreciate any advice about what its value might be,
and/or anyone who collects them.

Thanks,
