Mechanical Music Museum in Beilngries, Bavaria
By Marcus Pregler

Dear Friends, I just want to inform you that this weekend we will
open a new museum for mechanical music here in Bavaria.

The museum is in a 500-year-old tower of the town wall of Beilngries,
a small, medieval town in the heart of Bavaria, in an area of
outstanding beauty.

With the help of many collector friends in South Germany we have
several very unusual instruments on display: upright music boxes like
a Lochmanns Original with tubular bells, the same but as a table model
with 8 bells, a nice Libellion, a 60-string Chordephon, a very old
barrel organ with trumpets, a Mermod Freres interchangable cylinder
box with 18" cylinders, and much, much more.

The museum is always open only on Sundays, guided tours at 14:00;
14:30; 15:00; 15:30. The admission is free, but we accept donations.

The opening party will take place this Saturday, the first of May,
from 10:00 to 16:00 hours. All collectors who find time this Saturday
are welcome to celebrate with us; please send me an email to make
planning easier.
