It is with great sadness that I have to report the loss of another
restorer and member of the Pacific Can-Am chapter of AMICA.  Carl
Kehret, our current chapter President, did not survive a heart valve
replacement surgery on Wednesday the 28th of April.

Many members of our chapter as well other West Coast collectors have
instruments or parts of instruments restored by Carl.  He was a
consummate collector and restorer and avid woodcarver par excellence.
He routinely donated his expertise to restore mechanical musical
instruments for local museums.

He leaves behind his wife, Peg, AMICA chapter Co-President with her
high school sweetheart and husband Carl, two children, their spouses,
four grandchildren and many friends and family.  His presence in our
little community will be hard to replace.
