Tunes on 46-Note B.A.B. Organ Roll No. 29
By Matthew Caulfield

Howard, I just found some titles that are, according to Ozzie
Wurdeman's notebooks, on B.A.B. roll 29. They are:

  The Blacksmith Blues
  Down In Toyland Village
  Hello Young Lovers -- waltz
  Night After Night -- waltz

Unfortunately, although I have titles for many of the 46-key rolls,
listed by roll, I don't have anything for roll no. 29, only an
alphabetical list of all 46-key masters.

Since the Wurdeman notebooks show that at the time roll no. 29 was
being made (ca. 1952) most or all of the tunes on 46-key rolls were
also going on other B.A.B. rolls, notably 66-key ones, anyone familiar
with 66-key rolls could probably identify your tunes just by listening
to them..

B.A.B. 66-key roll no. 38 has all of the four tunes I mentioned as
being on 46-key roll no. 29. So maybe that will give you all 10 tune
titles on roll 29. The contents of roll no. 38 can be seen in the
B.A.B. appendix to my style 165 catalog, where I try to reconstruct
the contents of the 44 original B.A.B. 66-keyers
(http://wurlitzer-rolls.com).
