I am very sorry to hear about the sudden passing away of Zeb Vance.
I met him several times here in Europe, both in Germany and the
Netherlands, and we corresponded a lot via E-mail and the MMD Pipes
Forum.

I really liked the man.  He was friendly and communicative, and he
completely lacked the "Look here, I am the expert and I know it all"
manner of approaching other pipe-makers and -voicers.

He was a good listener, and he had a very sound and wise opinion about
the art of making and voicing pipes.  Sorry he could not stay with us
any longer.  I will surely miss him.  May he rest in peace.
