Unknown Scene on Interchangeable Cylinder Musical Box
By Ralf Smolne

Hello to all! One of our society's members asked me to make some
investigations into an orchestra box with interchangeable cylinders,
made by (Bremond ?) and sold by Heller Bern. Serial no. 11843 is
stamped onto the top of the flat lever. Unusual serial no. given
by Heller is 100210000.

On the back part of the inner lid there is a painting showing a
landscape. He wants to know where this could be. If anybody has
a suggestion, please let me know. Thanks!

Herzliche Gruesse, best regards,

[ Visible is a corner of a sea, with fishing boats, and an imposing
[ church dominating the town. In the background is a two-level
[ Roman aqueduct, which seems out of place at a sea or lake!
[ I will place the photo of the painting at the MMD Pictures site,
