Creating and Publishing a PDF Document

It is not advisable to use Microsoft Word for a job of this size;
it is designed for business letters and short reports.  A proper
desktop publishing program such as Quark XPress, Adobe InDesign,
or Pagestream should be used.  These can handle long documents with
exact layouts without problems.

Pagestream has built-in PDF export, with some limitations.  The others
export a Postscript file which would be converted to PDF by Adobe
Acrobat.
