Duo-Art & Ampico Artist Frank Milne
By Karl Petersen

With Frank Milne figuring into many years of Ampico production and
a few of Duo-Art, did he not "join" Duo-Art at the Ampico merger with
Aeolian-American about ten years after 1918? It is quite clear his
work was continued in the parallel releases after the merger.

[ The short biography in the Ampico rollography by Elaine Obenchain
[ says, "He joined Aeolian in 1918, became head of the artist and
[ repertoire department, and was also in charge of the roll-cutting
[ department. When Aeolian merged with Ampico, Milne became an Ampico
[ artist and was soon producing huge numbers of rolls under his own
[ name and a host of aliases." -- Robbie
