Listening to Music vs. Watching the Holes Go By
By Richard Sherborne

Being a new subscriber to the MMD, I felt rather reluctant to comment
on articles that I have followed for many months. I have a built-up
O-roll piano that has given me much musical pleasure as well as just
simply "tinkering" around with the mechanical parts. I must admit that
I have been disappointed with many of the arrangements and song content
on some of the rolls I have purchased through Play-Rite or on eBay.
The MIDI system offered by Spencer Chase and Gene Gerety has really
gotten my interest. After all, being able to pick and choose the music
played must have some merit.

Lets see, if I got rid of the spoolframe and installed Spencer's MIDI
system, maybe I could fit that accordion in the piano that has been
sitting in the garage for the past two years.

Thank you for your time,
Richard Sherborne
