R.M.B. Company & Regina Music Box Factory
By Reg Smith

While labels found directly on Regina discs may indeed be attributable
to Ruth Bornand when her company either repaired or resold a Regina,
the "R.M.B.Company" labels found on Regina music boxes themselves were
affixed there long before Ruth and Adrian established the music box
repair business for which they later became so well known.

When seen on the boxes the initials R.M.B. simply refer to Regina Music
Box Company itself. For reasons now clouded by the mists of time, the
Regina company apparently made cryptic sales entries in the factory
ledgers designating shipment to their own sales offices in New York.
I don't believe the company ever put paper labels on any new discs
at the factory so these are probably the results of a sales agent or
repairer.

I have a number of letters from Ruth Bornand so if Walt would like to
send a scanned image of one of these labels I will be glad to compare
it with Ruth's signature. (If you want to do this Walt, please email
me privately.)
