Piano Movers: Keyboard Carriage & Modern Piano Moving

Dear Shay (and list), There are several cross country piano movers
that I know of, but I have not used any of them personally.

Modern Piano Moving
992 Hwy D
Sullivan, MO 63080
(800) 737-5600
mike@modernpiano.com
Modern Piano Moving moves pianos door to door

Keyboard Carriage
(502) 737-5797
Keyboard Carriage moves pianos only from loading dock to loading dock,
and usually only for dealers or piano manufacturers.

I recently had a call from a lady in Chicago wanting to move a small
grand piano from Neosho, Missouri, to Chicago, and she was quoted a
price of around $1000.00 by an unknown mover and was looking for a less
expensive option. Unfortunately, it seems to cost an arm and a leg to
move pianos cross-country these days. If you have a good experience
with a mover, let us know.

Thanks!
