I've received the following from the Head of Music at Chiltern Edge
School in Oxfordshire.  Seems that if a new home cannot be found for
this instrument within the next few days, it will be heading for that
great pianola resting place in the sky.

Dear Ian,  I have just been appointed as Head of Music at Chiltern Edge
School in Oxfordshire and have found in one of our practice rooms a
Moore and Moore Ltd. Simplex player piano, with the rolls.  We have no
use for it and need the space.  I don't know whether it works or not,
but it seems in reasonable condition.  I have contacted a couple of
mechanical instrument museums and they are not interested.  I can't
sell it on eBay, so now I intend to simply break it up and get rid of
it.

Are you interested in acquiring this instrument before we dispose of it?
Or do you know of anyone who may be interested in restoring or buying it?

the evenings.  If I don't hear by the end of this week from anyone, I
shall dispose of it.
