Hi All,  Regarding the need for a formula to estimate the amount of
tubing required to retube a trackerbar, it should be pointed out that
the people who are concerned about buying an adequate amount of tubing
to do the job without buying too much are people who can't afford
to hire a player piano technician and who, more than likely, live on
a budget.

Let's assume that you only need 180 feet of tubing but you buy 200 feet
just to be on the safe side.  That means you've already spent 10% more
for something you are likely to never use again.  Now let's assume that
you buy 300 feet; that means you've spent 40% more than is necessary.

I ask, who in their right mind spends 40% more than they need to
for something they will most likely never use again?  I could cite
thousands of examples, but I think everyone gets the picture.  There
is a difference between being cheap and being frugal -- an intelligent
person is frugal!

Again, I thank the readers of the MMD for their time and knowledge.

For your information, I've already received two emails from customers
who took the time to thank me for posting the formula.  They candidly
admitted that they weren't sure how to figure out how much tubing they
might need.  And, they subsequently placed an order.
