Luke,  Here are the answers to some of your questions (from
a follow-up message).  Reference the "Encyclopedia" by Bowers.

The 246 was made from 1915 to 1919.  According to Mr. Bowers,
they made 190 of this model.  With a number of 2460016, yours was
probably made in 1915.  They are the phono models of the Regina
model 50/51, in a console case like the model 40s.

I don't think so!  Well, you can get a few of the smaller parts even
today, but nothing major.  Over the years, several people have made
limited numbers of certain parts (like the tone arms) and you can find
a few parts machines.

I noticed the tone arm and reproducer are white metal, and if it's
anything like other phonographs they're sure to degrade.  Many of the
arms are lost and others get pot metal problems.  New replacements,
if you can find them, are made from aluminum but they look the same.

The web can be a wonderful way to find information, but there can be
_so_ many dry spots.  I've found quite a bit on other models but not
the 246.   MMD isn't exactly a dry spot.  In fact, it gets a little
damp from time to time.  If you are interested in Regina and other
music boxes, you might want to join the Musical Box Society and get
